1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Ripe, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. Description of the App

Ripe is an Android home screen launcher application that provides an alternative home screen experience for your device. Features include customizable app grids, folders, tabs, home screen widgets (weather, calendar, alarm, now playing), notification badges, icon pack support, and search functionality.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Ripe on Android devices that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring your device meets the minimum requirements (Android 8.0 or later).
• Granting or denying permissions as you see fit. The App will function with reduced features if optional permissions are denied.
• Any actions taken through the App, including making phone calls, modifying your wallpaper, or managing app layouts.

5. Permissions

Ripe requests various device permissions to provide its features. All permissions are optional and clearly presented during onboarding. You may revoke any permission at any time through your device's system settings. Revoking a permission will disable the corresponding feature but will not affect the core launcher functionality.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) to provide weather data and Google Play Services for location. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

The App supports third-party icon packs. We are not responsible for the content, quality, or behavior of third-party icon packs installed on your device.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including but not limited to its design, code, graphics, and branding, are owned by Ripe and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The Ripe name, logo, and associated marks are our property.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
• The weather data, calendar information, or other displayed content will be accurate or up to date.
• The App will be compatible with all devices or Android versions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Ripe, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or device malfunction, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

10. Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this document. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the App if you violate these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ripe operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ripe regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
